Position Reports to: Director of Graduate and Online Enrollment

Department: Enrollment Management, Admissions

FLSA Status: Exempt

Schedule: Full-time; Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; must be able to work evenings and weekends, as necessary

POSITION SUMMARY

The Online Admissions Counselor is responsible for making initial contact with inquiries and providing customer service throughout the entire admission process and beyond. Will work closely with Registrar and Financial Aid. Occasional travel to outside sell at conferences may occur. Sales and customer service skills are a must. It is also important to be self-motivated, efficient, and a good problem solver.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1.    Make daily calls, texts, and emails in a timely, effective manner.

2.    Respond to all calls, texts, and emails in a timely, effective manner.

3.    Contact existing inquiries to discuss the application process.

4.    Contact applicants to assist them in completing application.

5.    Contact admittees to assist with deposit, email set up, and registration.

6.    Work with financial aid and registrar to ensure smooth process for students.

7.    Collaborate with academic advising and department chairs.

8.    Assist in webinars and events.

9.    Travel to events and conferences to promote FUS online.

REQUIREMENTS

Must understand, support, and embrace the mission of Franciscan University of Steubenville and possess the following:

 

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with Slate or other CRM
Non-Technical Skills & Competencies

Drive for Results: Is sales focused and tenacious at pursuing a goal and bringing it to a successful close; has a knack for finding the most efficient way of getting something done.
Action Oriented – Hard working and displays initiative; doesn’t wait to be told or asked to do something.
Interpersonal Skills: Effectively uses both formal and informal means of communications and influence.

 

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree required.
Sales experience is desired.
Customer service experience is desired.
Workplace Factors

Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as necessary.
