Coeur du Christ Academy, a coeducational classical high school in the Catholic tradition, is seeking to fill an advanced teaching position for the Fall of 2026. Coeur du Christ Academy is located in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. The Academy serves grades 9-12 and is completing its fourth year.
As the Academy grows, multiple faculty positions are open for applicants of various specialties, including Mathematics, Natural Science, Latin, Humanities, and Theology.

The ideal candidate has an integrated familiarity of all these disciplines.
A Teacher’s primary responsibilities will be to lead classes, seminars, and coursework, to mentor students both in faith and subject matter, and by word and deed to guide students to know, love, and serve God.

- Managing 4 preps (lesson planning, grading, tracking, and reporting to the Headmaster). Specific courses depend in part on the strengths of the candidate and in part on the needs of the Academy.
- Attending all necessary faculty meetings and parent meetings.
- Attending daily mass with students and colleagues on Wednesdays and Fridays.
- Utilizing the student information system (ClassReach) in a timely manner, while showing strong, professional communication skills with leadership, families, colleagues, and students.

- a strong sense of discretion and strong moral character
- a proven ability to inspire and form students,

- Pledge fidelity to the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church.
- Hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.

- Commit to assisting with select extracurricular activities such as clubs, sports, and pilgrimages, as assigned.

About Coeur du Christ Academy
Mission: Coeur du Christ is a private classical academy in the Catholic tradition. We are committed to forming the next generation of Saints, Scholars, and Servants, with Christ at the heart of everything. We uphold the transcendentals of Truth, Goodness, and Beauty, and honor parents as the primary educators. Heaven is our mission.
About: Coeur du Christ Academy is a private, classical academy in the Catholic tradition, founded in 2022 by families seeking to answer the post-Christian culture with a rigorous, integrated education in a joyful environment. Answering the call of the Second Vatican Council, Canon Law (cc. 215, 216, 217), and the Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 2229), families and benefactors courageously came together to fill a significant need in the community and in the formation of our young Catholics.
For 50 years our region was without a holistic Catholic education for high school age students. That incredible chasm in a most-impactful stage of a child’s formation is no-longer. Generous benefactors purchased a historical 1906 facility within walking distance of the local diocesan parish so that students could walk to daily mass and participate in the liturgical and sacramental life of the Church. After operating in that space for three and a half years, Coeur du Christ has acquired, renovated, and moved into an adjacent property that exemplifies the beauty of CDCA's culture and curriculum. This new building includes additional classrooms, sacred and classical art, a state-of-the-art science lab, and ample space for growth.
Praise God, Coeur du Christ Academy is serving this worthwhile need and is now preparing to expand and further its impact on the lives and souls of our children, and perhaps just as essential, to continue to bring Christ to the culture and community of Coeur d’Alene for generations to come!
