Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School seeks an experienced high school Theology teacher to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 school year.
Experience/Qualifications
The qualified candidate will possess the ability to bring the good, the true, and beautiful to life. He/She will have a deep love for Christ and His Church, and the entire Deposit of Faith. He/She will have a sincere desire to teach in a Roman Catholic school and will unite Faith and Reason in his/her instruction.
Preference will be given to licensed candidates with a master’s degree and three or more years of teaching experience.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. Signing bonuses and relocation expenses are negotiable.
Candidates will:
• Demonstrate a love for the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church, and support for the mission of Bishop Thomas K. Gorman Catholic School to form saints and missionaries
• Demonstrate professionalism in a collaborative environment
• Demonstrate strong communication skills
• Possess a bachelor’s degree in theology; master’s degree preferred
• Hold or be ready to obtain a Texas teaching certificate
Must undergo a background check and complete the Ethics and Integrity Program of the Diocese of Tyler, Texas.
